Sausage and Cabbage

I threw this together one night when I was too tired to think too hard about cooking dinner. It worked out so well The Man asked for it again the next day.

Ingredients List:

Sausage (your favorite Brat type of sausage. I used Chicken Sausage with Gruyere & Garlic)

1 medium-head Cabbage (chopped)

1 medium Onion (chopped)

Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper

  1. Add Olive Oil to the bottom of a large frying pan.

  2. Heat the frying pan to medium-high heat.

  3. Brown the sausage, turning repeatedly to brown all sides.

  4. Remove browned sausage to a plate and set aside.

  5. Add Cabbage and Onion to the frying pan.

  6. Saute Cabbage and Onion in the drippings from the Sausage till the vegetables start to sweat.

  7. Add 1 cup of water to the frying pan.

  8. Add lid, and steam till Cabbage and Onion are soft.

  9. Serve with Sausage and enjoy!
