My Grandmother is a home cook, has been since before I was born, and I learned to cook from her. She would put me in my high chair in the kitchen and give me little pieces of whatever she was cooking to play with, so I could explore the world of food. She gave me this recipe several years ago, and it's become one of mine and The Man's favorites.
Ingredients: 2 lbs boneless rib meat (I use beef, but pork is totally acceptable too) 1 16 oz jar Sauerkraut 1 10.5 oz can Cream of Mushroom Soup or GF Cream of Mushroom Soup 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar (I'm terrible about measuring this... just FYI)
Place ribs in crockpot in a single layer if possible. (Note: ribs can be mostly frozen, as long as you can get them apart)
Cover ribs with sauerkraut. Use a fork to avoid excess brine.
Cover sauerkraut with Cream of Mushroom Soup
Sprinkle soup with brown sugar
Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. Ribs should be fall apart tender.
I tend to serve this with baked potatoes.
